Cyber threats are now one of the biggest operational risks facing UK organisations.  Cyber Essentials (CE) and Cyber Essentials Plus (CE+) provide a proven, government-backed framework to strengthen your defences and demonstrate a credible baseline of security to customers, partners and regulators.

But the scheme evolves every year, and the introduction of the new Danzell Question Set in April represents one of the most significant updates to date.  Understanding what has changed, what assessors now expect, and how to prepare is essential for achieving or maintaining certification.  Many applicants are already discovering that previous approaches no longer guarantee success.

On 15 July, URM will host a webinar where a senior assessor shares real-world lessons learned from conducting hundreds of CE and CE+ assessments, including early assessments against the new Danzell requirements.  Whether you’re applying for the first time or preparing for recertification, this session will show you exactly what assessors look for, where organisations commonly fall short, and how to position your submission for a smooth, successful outcome.

Our message is simple: follow our guidance, and you will be well placed to certify or recertify with confidence.

What You’ll Learn

  • Lessons from real CE/CE+ assessments - What assessors are seeing in practice, and what separates successful submissions from failed ones.
  • Understanding the Danzell Question Set - The key changes introduced in 2026 and how they impact both new applicants and recertifying organisations.
