Overall Responsibilities

URM Consulting Services Ltd (URM) has a fantastic opportunity for a person to discover their talents in a sales environment. URM is looking for a hard-working person with a positive attitude to join its established New Business Sales Team. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to learn URM’s service offerings and to develop essential sales skills with on-the-job training. This is a great opportunity to kick start a career in sales, account management and business development.

This is a brand-new position at URM and is ideal for an individual looking to develop their sales-based career and take it to the next level. The successful candidate will have approximately 6-12 months sales or office experience and primarily act as new business executive, generating opportunities by leveraging URM’s webinar programme, prospecting new customers, and converting opportunities from URM’s lead generation programme.

This individual must be highly motivated, determined and proactive. As part of URM’s New Business Team, the role involves working closely with the New Business Manager where there will be a unique opportunity to learn and develop new sales skills and become self-sufficient in closing new business, renewals and developing new accounts.

Typical Skills and Attributes

The role holder needs to possess:

  • Excellent communication skills and be able to work with people at all levels and in particular senior management
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills and most importantly be articulate
  • Basic sales skills including the ability to generate opportunities
  • Self-confidence and have a clear and friendly ‘telephone’ voice
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive approach
  • Highly motivated, positive and enthusiastic
  • A cool head and be able to work under pressure
  • A flexible working attitude
  • Good time management skills
  • Basic IT literacy, including Microsoft Office.
